Amelie is a top and a dress with a bow in the back; a gorgeous detail that can be made both cute and cool depending on your fabric choices. The neckline is sewn with a clean finish binding and the sleeves are slightly gathered. The dress is knee length and the waist is also gathered.

YOU WILL NEED:
Fabric: Light to medium weight knit fabric, for example cotton/lycra jersey, with good stretch and recovery. Heavier knit, such as college or sweatshirt, is also good, but for the binding you should use light-weight knit.

Coordinating thread.

Sewing machine with a stretch needle. You can also use a serger/overlocker, but you don’t need to.

Choose a size based on your child’s chest width. If the child is between sizes, I recommend that you choose the larger size. Amelie was designed for knit fabrics with at least 30% stretch, so make sure your fabric has enough stretch. If not, I recommend to size up.

PDF PATTERN:

Delivered instantly upon purchase to your e-mail address. This PDF-pattern includes 4 files:

- The pattern in A4/letter size for home printing, 21 pages. Layered.
- The pattern in Projector format, layered.
- The pattern in A0 size for copy shop printing, 1 sheet. Non-Layered.
- The Sewing instructions, 18 pages.

PRINTED PATTERN:
Printed and packaged in the new, updated format. The pattern sheet is printed in color on high-quality 70 g paper that is durable and can be used many times over. The sewing instructions are also color-printed, on 130 g paper. It's a booklet in A5-size, 16 pages. The pattern and booklet are packaged in a beautiful envelope you can save and store your pattern in.

PRINTED + PDF:
You'll receive both formats. The PDF pattern is delivered to your email, and the printed pattern shipped to your address.

With the included Sewing Instructions you receive help from start to finish.

It’s a solid and detailed description of each step in the making of this project. It includes clear pictures, explanatory text and tips that will give the garment a professional look.

If you are new to some of the sewing techniques this is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your sewing skills. Consider my patterns your sewing school.

The Instructions also include a size chart and a fabric requirements chart. Measurements are provided in both the metric and imperial system.
