In the middle of the summer 2020 we had our pattern test for the Kids' Emma blouse & dress. We sent the pattern and tutorial to 33 women who sewed the blouse or dress in the child's size, based on the size guide in the pattern.
They did a really amazing job (as always!) and sent us feedback on all aspects of the pattern and tutorial. Anything from what they thought about the width and length of the Emma, to how the sleeves and neckband fit, the neckline, the pockets and so on... This really helps us make our patterns better.
Most modifications made to the final pattern were minor, but a more noticeable change is that the neckline in the smallest sizes is now larger.
WHAT ABOUT THE ATTACHED TIE BELT?
You'll also see that a few testers sewed the Emma with an attached tie belt, as we describe in the tutorial. This is not one of the primary options in the final pattern since we noticed that on several kids the tie belt got positioned a bit too low on the tummy. With the regular tie belt version, the belt gets positioned at the waist.

She also made another blouse in the same size, this time in cotton jersey which is not one of the recommended fabrics since it doesn't drape. But as you can see it looks lovely too :)
